FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Q -- HOW DOES BLACK CAT DIFFER FROM THE OTHER WALKING TOURS IN CHARLESTON?
A -- Mark and Rebel are full-time, career Charleston tour guides, authors and paranormal
investigators. Because we don't allow small children and limit our group size, we offer a more
personalized experience than the other, mass-marketed tours.

Q -- WHY DO YOU NOT ALLOW SMALL CHILDREN ON YOUR GHOST TOUR?
A -- There are many family friendly activities in Charleston. We like to offer an alternative. The
majority of our customers are looking to get away from the kids (school teachers, couple getaways,
etc).  Ghost tours are often perceived as creepy, haunted house-like experiences. In actuality, a
ghost tour is a blend of history, storytelling, legends, magic and real-life paranormal events.

Q -- WHY IS THE WICKED CHARLESTON TOUR "ADULTS ONLY"?
A -- It is a frank discussion of adult subjects - sex, prostitution, sex, drinking, transsexuals, murder,
sex and other fun subjects. If the discussion of
ice cream flavors sold in a whore house offends you
... please DO NOT take The Wicked Charleston tour.

Q -- WHY IS ADVANCE PURCHASE RECOMMENDED?
A -- Most Charleston walking tours will take up to 20 per tour, but BLACK CAT limits their groups
at 12 people so advance purchase is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED if you wish to guarantee your tour.

Q -- HOW DO WE PURCHASE TICKETS?
A -- You can buy tickets on-line from ZERVE or call (800) 979-3370 or (212) 209-3370. If the sales page
says "Tour Not Available" that means the tour is sold out.  We DO NOT accept unruly children or
livestock as barter, but we will consider high quality rum and other distilled alcohol. Ask your Black
Cat guide for details.

Q -- WHERE CAN WE BUY MARK AND REBEL'S BOOKS?
A -- If you wish to have an autographed copy of one of Mark's or Rebel's books, they can be
purchased at the Waldenbooks at the corner of Market and Meeting Streets (directly across from
the location where Black Cat Tours meet.) For on-line purchases, click on the cover of the books
displayed on this page's left margin, it will take you to the Amazon page.

Q -- WHERE DO THE TOURS MEET?
A -- All Black Cat Tours meet at Market Hall - 188 Meeting St. (corner of Market & Meeting Streets) at
The Daughters of Confederacy building. See left side of page.

Q -- WHERE DOES THE TOUR END?
A -- The HAUNTED CHARLESTON tour usually ends on King Street, two blocks from Market Hall. Your
Black Cat guide will be happy to walk you back to the Market area; the WICKED CHARLESTON tour
ends at Market Hall.

Q -- WHAT IF IT RAINS?
A -- Tours will go on rain or shine unless there are severe conditions which include: lightning,
hurricanes, plagues of locusts, and an invading Yankee Army. Your Black Cat guide will make the
final decision.

Q -- WILL I SEE A GHOST ON THE HAUNTED CHARLESTON TOUR?
A -- Probably not. Strange things have happened on our tours, but any Charleston ghost tour
company who claims that you
will see a ghost on their tour is lying to you. A commercial ghost tour
is NOT conducive to "ghost hunting". A ghost tour should be entertaining and intriguing, but
customers should have realistic expectations.

If you want to experience real ghostly phenomenon, sign up with a paranormal investigative group
in your area. That is what Mark and Rebel did when they joined
L.E.M.U.R. and as a result, they have
amazing experiences to relate.
